Maison Rochat was founded by Sébastien Rochat. After thirty years working for Swiss private banks, followed by six years as a self-employed professional, I now apply these high standards of excellence to my passion for travel and the great outdoors.

As a long-distance traveller, I have explored the world on foot, by bike, on a motorbike and by car, from the roads of Europe to the far reaches of Central Asia and the Middle East. These adventures and explorations have taught me to read the terrain, to anticipate every logistical detail and to nurture what has been most precious to me on all my journeys: pure emotion and the power of human connection.

In 2026, I decided to set up Maison Rochat, so that I could share my passion for travel, Switzerland and the Valais with warmth and dedication. I personally look after each guest to ensure they enjoy a special experience in the heart of our magnificent region, in complete peace of mind. My aim is simple: to make you feel just as welcome here as I have been in every country I have travelled through.
